Emily Boeschenstein, Afternoon Teacher

Emily is currently completing her Masters in Art Therapy Program through Southwestern College in Santa Fe.  She graduated from CU with a degree in Fine Art in 2002.  She has worked with children at Alaya Preschool, as well as many other schools in the Boulder community for the last 20 years and has a special passion for working with children who are experiencing emotional, sensory and behavioral dysregulation and working with families who are dealing with different traumas.

Emily is an avid wool worker; knitting, weaving and felting and also enjoys photography.  She is a mom of two, Canaan who is 11 and Wyley Rose who is 10.  Waldorf education has always been a passion of Emily’s, although she has never had formal training.  She helped to open River Canyon (a Waldorf inspired preschool) in Grand Junction, Colorado and has homeschooled her two children using Waldorf curriculum in the past.
