Laura Powderly – Lavenders Class Lead Teacher
Ms. Laura was born in the Fort Worth, Texas area and has been in Colorado for over 20 years.
She is a nurturing Mother to her two teenaged children and has been married to her husband, Johnny, for 19 years. Her family currently resides in Golden, Colorado.
As a life long lover of learning, it was important to find the right fit for her children as they entered school. It was during this journey that she discovered Waldorf Education. As her children thrived, she became interested in learning more. Laura was very involved in the school community, and later became a Kindergarten Assistant Teacher. She worked as an assistant for three years, and attended Waldorf Conferences to further her understanding of the Waldorf pedagogy.
Laura joined the BWK Faculty in Fall of 2022 as the Lavenders Class Assistant Teacher.
In addition, she is an avid reader and gardener, enjoys all things in nature, making jewelry, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog.
