Gabriella Cervin – Summer Camp Afternoon Lead Teacher

Gabriella grew up in the northern part of Sweden, and the world of the Sami people/the Laplanders, the indigenous people of the north. She was raised with respect for nature and an active outdoor life.

Gabriella did her teacher training in Stockholm, Sweden where she taught and lived for many years. Before moving to San Francisco in 1989, she and her husband traveled around the world for an entire year, studying native tribes and healing arts. In California, Gabriella started a Swedish School for children ages 6 – 12, sponsored by the Swedish School Department. After 8 years in San Francisco, Gabriella, her husband, and son moved to Boulder.

Gabriella taught at Boulder Valley Waldorf School for seven years, both as a Kindergarten Assistant and Lead Teacher. She also taught the Summer Camp Programs throughout these years. Later on she started working as a Lead Teacher at Blue Sky Kindergarten and in their Summer program. When Blue Sky Kindergarten closed their doors temporarily, she began teaching at Cottontail Nursery School in Lafayette.

In the Summer of 2021, Gabriella returned to Boulder Valley Waldorf School to be the Lead Teacher of the Early Childhood Summer Camp Program. She is currently teaching First and Second Grade music, art/craft, storytelling and nature studies at Boulder Valley Waldorf School and will often assist in the Kindergarten.

Gabriella is also a fiber artist, designing and making Scandinavian Folk art.
