Shonda Lehtola – Bookkeeper and Registrar

Shonda is a part-time bookkeeper and mom of four busy children, ages 11-20. Originally from Minnesota, more than 20 years ago the call of the mountains brought her to Colorado. Although she earned a degree in Applied Psychology (minor: Human Relations), Shonda’s first true love was Accounting. Being a bookkeeper for 23 years for myriad local businesses and clients, she enjoys the puzzle-work of the trade and, yes, she even loves to do taxes.

Shonda’s children attended Waldorf schools for 13 years, so she is no stranger to the gnomes and fairies of the land. She joined the BWK community in 2018 and currently serves as Bookkeeper and Registrar. Shonda enjoys yoga, hiking, fishing, camping, hand-crafting, lounging in a hammock with a good book, and spending time with her boyfriend and friends. Her favorite motto—which drives her children crazy—is: “Many hands make light work!” Fun fact: Shonda was a sergeant in the  Army Reserves and was an Attack Helicopter mechanic.
