Stacie Schaefer –  Mentor, New Teachers

Stacie was born and raised in northeastern Iowa where she spent an abundance of time in nature. She brings 25 plus years of teaching which includes 18 years of Waldorf teaching as a Kindergarten Teacher, Grades Teacher, and Parent-Child Teacher as well as Admissions support. She also owned and operated Meadowdale Kinderhaus, a farm and forest Kindergarten in Niwot, Colorado.

She received a BA in Elementary Education K-6 from the University of Northern Iowa in 1993 and obtained her Waldorf Teacher Certificate in Early Childhood and the Grades at Rudolf Steiner College in 1998 and 2003. In addition, she received her Birth to Three training certificate from Sophia’s Hearth in New Hampshire in 2012, and her Forest Kindergarten Level One and Two Training from Forest Kindergarten Association of Santa Barbara in 2022.

Stacie and her husband have a daughter who is a graduate of Shining Mountain Waldorf School and Grinnell College. She enjoys being in nature with children and welcoming families to Waldorf Education. She has recently returned from volunteering in Tanzania, Africa, and is so grateful to be a part of the amazing Boulder Waldorf Kindergarten community.
